  1. Isn't it lovely to have the whole place to yourself like that! Kevin and I have a great spot as well. Enjoy the views and the peace and quiet!

  3. Wish I were there, too. But, then it wouldn't be as peaceful for you with neighbors (grin).

    1. Ahh you could come and park next to us any time!!! LOL .... if you look in the 10th photo down, you can see our nearest neighbors. We were going to wander over to their campfire last night, but we could see they had company so we decided to stay home.

  6. Elephant Butte is pretty wonderful! I was told by a volunteer that I could park anywhere I wanted, as long as I wasn't blocking a road, etc., or in a paid site. (I get the annual pass, then I seldom pay for a site.) There are tons of places to camp. I did get stuck in the sand last summer, though - I was able to get myself out, but will be more careful to stay off the sand from now on unless it's obviously hard packed enough for a motorhome. That whole area, Elephant Butte and Caballo are great, and I always spend time there during the summer. I love seeing your photos. :)

    1. Well, after two days of going in grass at the last campground.... now they had to learn to go pee and poop again today on gravel... they wouldn't yesterday and held it all night! Today both had to give in and goooooo and goooooo and goooooooo! Ain't gonna drive back 30 miles to the last campground just to let them pee! LOL
