Schmoo and Fuzz's 26 & 1 Anniversary and Cancer Free PARTY!!!

The invitation said:

You’re invited to a

26 & 1 PARTY
For
Fuzz & Schmoo
A celebration of new beginnings!

As you know our past year has been a rocky one.
We seem to have missed our 25th wedding anniversary celebration with our friends.
We would like to have you come celebrate
Our 26th wedding anniversary and 1 year of keeping cancer at bay party.

May 21st 2011
Bates Township Hall
3070 East US2
Iron River, MI.

3:00 p.m. food
Of course Drinks,
And mind blowing entertainment for the rest of the evening.
Everyone welcome!

This party was for my sister, Linda and her husband Mike Andersen  (aka Schmoo and Fuzz)   Life has been difficult for them.  Linda has battled repeated breast tumors and now Mike had cancer of the jaw diagnosed last year.  The skilled surgeons in Ann Arbor cut his jawbone out, along with a lot of tissue. They made him a new jaw with a bone from his leg!   Then he had skin grafts to repair the neck and cheek areas.  He is doing GREAT and has been declared one year cancer free!  What a reason to celebrate!!!!

With a lot of pre-planning, my sister and I burned up the cyber airwaves with lists, ideas and shopping sources of things on a budget.  This party was getting bigger and bigger as time went on. We were gonna pull it off to be a party of a lifetime for the Happy Couple---- they sure deserve it.

We drove up 120 miles on Friday night to park our motorhome right in the parkinglot at the rented Bates Township Hall, out in the country near Iron River, Michigan.  My sister brought their travel trailer too, so that way we were close by ---and no drinking and driving home again!

When we got there on Friday night, Schmoo and Fuzz were busy unloading and starting to arrange things.  We helped for a while and then made them take a break and head over for fish fry at the bar across the road.  Other friends joined us for dinner, Buzzy and Judy.  The fish was great and we enjoyed the evening.

Our daughter Erin and her husband Mark came up from Oconto... and brought along our granddaughter Chelsea too.  They were going to stay with us in the motorhome, so we made room for her portacrib and blew up a new queen air mattress for Erin and Mark to sleep on the floor... much softer than the fold out couch in the rig.  (we are thinking of getting rid of the couch and just having two recliners)

Here are the rigs, side by side in the back lot.  We were parked close enough to the hall to run back and forth with cooking stuff, food, and run back to stay with Chelsea while she took her naps throughout the weekend.

Saturday morning, the guys set up Schmoo's canopy over the tapper trailer area as rain was in the forecast.  I have one of these canopies too, as we use them for demonstrations  and selling of our weaving items at festivals-- the LOOMATICS.   The tapper trailer was parked close to the outdoor party deck on the back of the hall.

Inside the hall we started decorating... there was a photo collage of memories that we put together of events throughout their lives.  (there is a link below at the end of the blog with all the party pics as well as closeups of all the photos in the collages)   And of course there was a cake! ---the photo looks small but it was a full big sheet cake that was sooo pretty!

We put up two big banners I had painted for them, and their friend Heather came to do streamers and balloons and party favors.  The tablecloths were white ones I had dyed various colors, in preparation to cut them up and make rag rugs from them.  In the meantime, they served as bright and festive table covers.  LOL

Fuzz had been cooking in preparation all week long, making the spaghetti sauce and the BBQ's (sloppy joes)  and he had that all bagged and frozen in advance.  They had gathered most of the food and hauled in box after tote after cooler after bag of everything needed.   The township hall's large kitchen was packed full of food -- which we had to prepare.

We attacked the hall and we had decorations to do, tables to arrange and cover, food to cook and nesco roasters to fill!  The party was going to start by 3 pm ....ACK!   We got our butts in gear and made it happen.

Erin and I were the Kitchen Wenches....   to assist Schmoo with all the food.  We had lined up the nesco roasters for spaghetti, scalloped potatoes, sloppy joes on buns, calico beans, then crock pots of 2 cooked veggies, swedish meatballs, leek soup (made by our brother Butch and friend Rick) that filled one whole table.  On the side table we put a big bowl of tuna pasta salad (made by Erin), taco salad (made by friend Cella) and various trays of sausage, cheeses, relishes and deviled eggs, chips and dips.   Whew ---  did we ever cook and cook and cook to get it all ready for the buffet tables.

The guys tested the beer from the tapper trailer... they had 6 barrels of beer on tap and ready.... we put our dad, Grandpa Wankel, aka Yooper, to be the Gate Guard and stand over the tapper trailer to make sure no minors were taking any beer.  He takes his beer job seriously!  LOL

Schmoo looked sooo pretty in her red dress!  Fuzz picked it out for her from a catalog and said she should order it for the party.  She was really the Lady in Red and looked so good to her loving husband!!!!    and everybody else too----   I am so proud of my sister for all that she has had to deal with, and being by her husband's side through thick and thin battling this horrid cancer.  He is so brave to deal with this and face such complicated surgery.  Twenty six years of marriage... and here's to many, many more!

My sister's long time nickname comes from a Schmoo... a cartoon character who is always positive and loving, even in hard times.  Having a great attitude is what the name means to my sister...  We call it her "Schmootie Attitude"!

from Wikipedia:  A schmoo (plural: schmoon, also schmoos) is a fictional cartoon creature. Created by Al Capp (1909–1979), they first appeared in his classic comic strip Li'l Abner on August 31, 1948, and quickly became a postwar national craze in the USA. A schmoo is shaped like a plump bowling pin with legs. It has smooth skin, eyebrows and sparse whiskers—but no arms, nose or ears. Its feet are short and round but dexterous, as the schmoo's comic book adventures make clear. It has a rich gamut of facial expressions, and often expresses love by exuding hearts over its head.

Fuzz's nickname since high school is very self-evident.  His head of fuzzy hair tells the tale, and the loss of his fuzzy beard during surgery and chemo and radation is now growing back into a smaller goatee.

People started coming in and the food and drink was flowing...  soon we had long lines for the buffet and the party deck was filled with guests.  They expected anywhere from 100 to 200 people!~   We were kept busy with refilling the food, re-arranging the platters and then Schmoo and Fuzz cut the cake.  Awwww and they kissed away the frosting after feeding each other a piece, just like 26 years ago.

Our three goofy nephews--- The Bicigo Boys!   Darren, Mikey and Matt
We had a lot of folks hanging out on the Party Deck---
near the beer and also for the smokers outside

Guests came and went all evening.  The food was refilled and the plates cleared away for more to come. It was so good to see so many people. All gathered to celebrate the anniversary of my sister and her husband... and overcoming this awful cancer disease with success!

Our daughter Erin, husband Mark dressed our granddaughter in her polkadot dancing dress! Rod and Laura set up the karaoke and DJ stand for the music and dancing... we book them for every family party we have, and they are more like family to us than a business deal.  We love em!

This is our dad, aka Grandpa Wankel (or Yooper) along with our nephew Mikey and our brother Umpee.  What a crew! The dancing began with Schmoo and Fuzz leading the way to the dancefloor... and the dancing lasted all night long!

(it's so hard to take good pictures of people dancing---awkward!)

Little granddaughter Chelsea was having a blast... we later changed her out of her party dress into her jammies.. thinking she would konk out.  NO WAY!  She even danced a special dance with her Daddy!
(before we know it, they will be doing a Father-Daughter dance at her wedding!!!!)

It was such an enjoyable evening... Steve and I took a turn around the floor with our beedle bug granddaughter between us.  We wish our other grandkids had been there, but Allegra's parents had both work and ball games scheduled. Jameson was spending the weekend in Milwaukee with his other grandparents at a pre-planned trip to a Brewer Game and the Milwaukee Zoo.  So we had to lavish all our attention on Chelsea this weekend.   (we did get to see Allegra on Monday at swimming and will have Jameson this upcoming weekend for camping - so they will get lavished too)
I think we were ALL tired in this photo.

Here was one of the group shots when Nikki grabbed my camera for me... we were posing for the photographer to snap a group shot of whoever was inside at that particular time.   More group shots were taken outside too with other guests by the photographer too, will see those later.

The place was full of fun, laughter and good wishes for the happy couple!

The party went on well into the night.  About 10:30 little Chelsea was ready for bed, and so were Steve and I.  We left the others to party on, while we snuck out to the motorhome to put her to bed. I climbed into my flannel jammies and hit the rack as soon as I could, snuggling with my husband for a good night's sleep.

********************************

The next day, of course, is clean up time!   We got up early and took Chelsea in with us, letting her parents sleep in a while.  Good thing Schmoo put away all the hot foods the night before and had the nesco roasters soaking all night with water in them overnight.  They still were a MESS to clean up!

Many of the cheese, crackers, relishes and salads were left out for munching, and were pretty well depleted.  So we tossed them after sitting out all night.  There was about 1/3 of the cake left... for BREAKFAST!

We scrubbed, bagged, cleaned, swept, mopped and hauled out the garbage.  Sigh.  The party was over!!!

Our brother Umpee came to help clean.... he and Steveio manned the mops, while Fuzz was sweeping mulitple times with the broom.  All of the sandy gritty dirt hauled in on wet shoes all night from the raining outside was a bugger to sweep up first before the mopping.  Also Mark came in and grabbed brooms and mops too.  They got it done while we women were in the kitchen dealing with the dishes, leftovers and supplies.

While the floor was drying, Fuzz and Steve scooted outside to mount their new electric power jack on the front of their camper (an anniversary present from us)    Their last one that they had worn out, and cranking the trailer has been rough on Fuzz last year during his recovery.  So having a power one again is nice! It was Steve's idea.

Little Chelsea could not RESIST the wide open dancing floor space....awwwww

Erin, Schmoo and I kept cleaning.  I washed nesco after nesco, crock pot after crock pot, serving utensils and trays and platters till my hands were wrinkled like prunes! The garbage was bagged and hauled out, and soon the hall was spic and span clean!

~~Thank You~~
from Schmoo and Fuzz

to everyone who came and made
this celebration such a success!!!

MOTORHOME MODIFICATION- more new little things we did

First, we need best wishes, good thoughts and prayers if offered for my brotherinlaw Fuzz... he has an infection at the surgery site for his bone cancer in the jaw and is on his way back 450 miles to see the surgeon in Ann Arbor, MI.  They are admitting him in to the hospital and will know more as the tests are done and results are gone over by the docs.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Okay.. we are at it again!   Doing some more stuff to our motorhome to make it more livable. We did some new little things to the rig this week.

First item is:  We have a large side by side 2 door Dometic fridge.  We notice after a week or so, we do get frost building up on the inside fins in our fridge. For just weekend camping, this hasn't been a problem, but longer periods like vacation we do notice the frost building up. Not in the freezer, just on the fridge fins.  We do have two of the little FridgeMate fans that run on 2 D cell batteries, but they are not enough to really keep the frost off the fins, they just circulate the cold air for even temps within the box when setting on a shelf.  I suppose we can put these 2 fans now in the back compartment on very hot days to move air over the back coils behind the fridge. This is what we HAD .......

But now, Steve saw this cute little fridge fan on Ebay.
the link:  fridge fin fan

ebay number  250677760674
It was $14.99 plus $2.60 shipping.
Seller is Richard Lockhart
597 Pickens Gap Road
Seymour, TN 37865

It came in the mail, fast shipping, and we installed it last night.  Pretty easy. The hot lead wire attaches to the 12 volt fridge light wiring before the switch, so there is always 12 volt running to the fans.  Then the ground is a clip that does double duty.  It attaches to the fins of the fridge to hold the fan in place but also completes the 12 volt circuit.  It runs all of the time the fridge is on, with very little draw, one tenth of an amp.   When you turn the fridge off after the weekend of camping is over, the fan goes off.  We put it right where our frost builds up and I think it's going to help a lot--  It sure seems to move the air!

From his website:

RV refrigerators are not frost-free. The longer they run, the more frost & ice accumulates on the fins. Frost comes from opening and closing the door, letting in warm air. The warm air has higher moisture content which results in frost & ice buildup on the fins. The buildup causes your refrigerator to think it is colder than it actually is. Frost also prevents the fins from extracting heat from inside the refrigerator box. The purpose of the fins is to EXTRACT HEAT from the refrigerator box as they are cooling down.

Life Expectancy: 30,000 hours; Rated Voltage: 12 VDC; Max Air Flow: 18.86 (CFM) CUBIC FEET per MINUTE; Max Current: 0.10A; Power: 1.20 watt; Fan Speed: 4800 RPM + or – 10%; Bearing type: Sleeve Bearing; Noise Level: 27.7 dBA; Comes with 22” of wire to hook to power supply.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Okay.. on to the next thing...
We had those white vinyl tire covers on our rig for the last 4 years when parked in our yard.  They are on the west side where the sun beats down unmercifully in the afternoons.  The vinyl soft covers have taken a beating, blew away down the road a few times and are pretty expensive to replace.  Steve decided to cut out these nice flat plywood boards!  He had the wood in the garage. I have to paint them yet.
What do you think?:  Silver, White or Blue?     (or big yellow Smiley Faces?)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This next item I made from vinyl and used a snap setting tool to make it secure.  It's a cover for our Blue Ox tow bar!  They wanted upwards of $40 for one from Blue Ox, so I made my own.  I used leftover grey vinyl from when I made the front spare tire cover.  It keeps the grime and rain off the expensive towbar when setting in the campground after unhooking. Or if we are in the yard and taking off again in a few days and don't want to remove the whole towbar and stow it away. It doesn't look like much, but it sure helps.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Now, the last thing really isn't a modification TO the rig, but rather an item to use IN the rig that I found out works great for us.   About a month or so ago, I was rummage sale-ing with my sister, and saw two of these Swiffer Carpet Flicks brand new in the boxes for $4 each.

They operate similar to the old fashioned carpet sweeper that Grandma used to have.  But the improvement is the stuff *sticks* to a double sided sticky pad. When the pad is full, you pull it out and toss it in the trash.  I remember on Grandma's sweeper we had to lift it and tilt it and knock on it a few times to get the dirt out, while holding it sideways over the garbage can with the handle flopping around behind you.  Sometimes you made more mess emptying it than when you started out.

What is sooo nice about this new type----  NO electric is needed, which is great for us boodockers who camp without hookups and have to conserve our power.  Running our Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner would take a lot of solar power or need to start up the generator just to vacuum.  The Dirt Devil uses a 12amp motor that is going to draw power down fast.

We get a lot of *Leaf Butt* from the dogs and their long hair, with dried crinkled up brown leaves being dragged into the rig. The crushed leaves cling to their belly and skirt hairs behind their back legs. We try to brush them off before getting in, but you can't get them all.   This sweeper unit picks em up toot sweet! The top of the pad collects the dirt as it flicks up inside the unit, and the bottom sticky surface of the pad catches the dog hairs!

Sometimes right before bed we want to clean up the carpeting quick so we can walk around in stockings or first thing in the morning when we want to walk around bare feet.  Those are not good times to run the generator just to vacuum.  Our carpeting is this low loop Berber in the background on this photo, and it works very well on that.  Not sure about how well it would work on higher pile rugs.

(see all the little flecks of dirt and leaves on the pad in the see-through window?)

One glitch---  when I was at the rummage sale, remember I said they had TWO new boxes for sale?   I looked in one box and saw it was all there, brand new, unused.  But then I grabbed the other box instead without really looking inside.  Oh well, it turns out the second box was missing the pack of 24 adhesive strips that go inside the Carpet Flick for the dirt to stick to.   Dang!   The base unit and handles were all brand new still sealed in the packaging and not used.  Maybe the refills were never in there to begin with? The box said it had 24 refills included.  What the seller did with the refills, I do not know.  Nor why they had two brand new ones for sale at their rummage without even using them.

I looked at a few stores and finally found the refills at our local True Value hardware store.  The Carpet Flick is $18.99 there! But I bought mine for $4.  Tee hee!    Refills were on sale for $3.99 a box of 12.  So I grabbed 8 boxes of refills because I had read online that they were being discontinued!

Why is it when you find something that works so great, they discontinue it?

So if you want one for your camper, buy it now and get lots of refills.  I did read on a Yahoo Answers list that you can make your own refills with thin cardboard like from gift boxes and some double sided carpet tape too.  Good to know.  I could do that too.   Of course I will use the big vac for all the sand and dirt and deeper cleaning, but this is great for the quick little pickups of the surface stuff.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Well, it's countdown here ... just 8 days till our daughter Heather's wedding.  We are in a flurry of last minute plans and coordinating dog sitting, baby transport who and when and what time to and from so Erin can be Matron of Honor and who will take the baby when.  Then of course the rehersal, decorating, last minute stuff... plus we are videotaping with 2 cameras and taking still photos too, so being sure we have everything charged and set up and ready.

But this weekend, we are going camping!
Fall is here, it's my favorite time of the year and we are going to the woods, no matter what!

CAMPING – At Lake Ottawa with Jameson – July 2010

-This post sent by a solar powered computer-

It was time for our grandson Jameson to spend a WHOLE WEEKEND camping with us!   Steveio picked up the little guy while at work… Both Steve and Heather work at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  Heather came in for 2 pm and Steve had to work till 2:30.  So little Jameson got to see how his Grandfaddah did “work”.   He got red ink all over his hands because he got to X off a whole bunch of days on Granfaddah’s calendar at his desk.  Guess he gave us a lot more vacation days?   Wonder if the boss will go for that?

Steveio and Jameson got up to the house about 3 pm, and I was loaded up and ready to roll with the motorhome.  We strapped Jameson’s car seat into the passenger seat and took off.  He was AMAZED at the whole world going by his big windows with such a view from that vantage point.  It was like a wide-screen movie at the theater.  Those are his mother's sunglasses and he decides which way to wear them.

(When you ride in a kid’s carseat in the backseat of a car, you don’t see much)

I snapped a few shots and then sat down with the dogs on the couch.

He was pointing out trucks, trains, cars, water, trees and anything else that caught his eye.  He jibber-jabbered to his mommy on the cell phone, I am not sure exactly of what he said but I think it meant he was having a great adventure!   After 2 hours he finally konked out, and by the time we rolled into Lake Ottawa, near Iron River, Michigan, he was recharged and ready to CAMP!

Lake Ottawa is a National Forest Campground in the Ottawa National Forest District in the U.P. of Michigan.  My sister Schmoo and her hubby Fuzz, were already camped there, along with a good family friend, Bob Sr.   They paid in advance for a campsite #18 for us to go into when we got there.  But luck upon luck, about half an hour before we got there, the people occupying site #17 had left, so we got that site instead!  (closer, more level, and nicer whereas #18 had a steep hill for the little guy to manuver).  You don’t often see folks pull out on a Friday later afternoon to vacate a spot.  This national forest campground is usually pretty empty during the week, and only fills up somewhat on the weekends.  32 sites of rustic camping at $14 a night.

Here is a link about Lake Ottawa

And here is the map of the campground

(we have probably camped on each and every site ‘bout a hunnerd times since I was a little kid—
the campground is only 5 miles from where I grew up.)

We got all set up on our campsite and then headed down to my sister's site cook supper with the family.  As soon as we got into their campsite, little Jameson saw this red plastic crate of Bob Sr’s and proceeded to crawl right into it and made himself at home!  We have NO idea why....

Later, that sassy Auntie Schmoo (my sister Linda)  showed him how to throw rocks into the dog’s water dish and stack them in and out from a container—back and forth.  It kept him busy for over an hour!  Shadow (Bob Sr's dog) didn't appear to happy too have his water dish messed around with.  LOL

We plumb tuckered wore him out that first night, and he slept like a log…

Saturday morning we ate our breakfast and went out to meet a new day.  It was sunny and warm, less humid than it had been all week, and a wonderful soft breeze.  It is perfect weather for SWIMMING!

This is his very FIRST TIME in a lake… a real lake.. not a swimmy wading pool.  We slathered him full of sunscreen, and put on his little shorts and tank top.  We bought him a green and purple alligator toy too.

It was quite the adventure for the little guy, and before he knew it, he was sitting down in chest deep water, throwing rocks and playing with the sandy bottom of the beach.

Granfaddah did the careful attentive life-guard duty and spent quite a time in the water, till the little guy’s toes were wrinkled up like prunes!

We finally got him out of the lake and dried off, quite RELUCTANTLY and took him back up the camper for a rest.  Our friends, Cella and Dave came out to visit with their grandson Dante.  The boys went BUG HUNTING  and found a GRUB worm to examine.  Such little scientists, I tell ya!

It was time to whip up Saturday supper, and shish kabobs were on the menu--- yummmm
We did up shrimp and chicken kabobs, this is the first batch ....

Then for the second batch  we were running outta skewer room, so we also grilled a bunch of veggies
in the baskets like Sharon showed us last weekend.  It sure was tasty and we pigged out.

Uncle Umpee (my brother Eugene) came out on his Harley, which Jameson got to sit on.
Whew-- what a Biker Dude!

As the evening was winding down, it was time to introduce Jameson to the fine taste of S' MORES!
I bet the photos will make your mouth water, huh?

About 15 minutes after devouring them, he was jumping around like a mexican jumping bean on a sugar high to be sure!  LOL   He finally wound down after a nice long bath in the motorhome tub with his cup-o’s.   Into the jammies and off to beddy-bye.

Sunday morning was hazy and cloudy… no sunshine to speak of.  We had our cereal and took a nice long walk around the campground with the dogs and the stroller.  Schmoo and Fuzz had to be somewhere at noon, but before they left, they got dinner started on the campfire.  Schmoo brought out a big ham and taters and onions … Fuzz did the chef work for our special Sunday Dinner.

(side note)  This is "MY" tripod -- this is the only thing I got from my previous marriage to a welder, he made it collapsible for camping.   Well, I got two great girls outta the marriage too....   It needed a bit of repair work, as it's now 20+ years old.  My sister Schmoo and her husband Fuzz take care of it and haul it around in the back of their pickup truck, as it's rather sooty and messy to be in the motorhome compartments.  Fuzz did some adjusting on the top poles and it's good as new again!
While they were gone, Steveio monitored the water levels and added wood.

Later on the sun came out and it was turning into a very nice day!

In the meantime, Uncle Umpee came back out to deliver a special item to me.  Back when we were kids in the early 1970’s our Grandma Kafehl had a special toy at her house.  Twelve grandkids and piles of greatgrandkids later played with this toy.  Once she passed away in 1996, my littlest brother Umpee asked for this toy.  It’s called a Magic Window by Whamo (makers of Frisbee)   The darker blue sand is heavier than the white sand, so it shifts, shapes, and flows as you rotate or flip it.   Here you can see the blue flowing downwards.   Hours and hours of fascinating fun!

Here is a link to more information:

Umpee had played with it for the last 15 some odd years now, but decided that I can take custody of it for the grandkids for a while.. only a while.. it’s on LOAN and has to be given back.  But I did ask him that if he should think of it, perhaps he could put it in his will to give it to me?   I did check a while ago on Ebay and those things are going for over FIFTY BUCKS!  It would be cool to keep passing this one down in the family… heck it’s almost 40 years old already.  What age constitutes an "antique" ???

They also did some serious coloring….
with Jameson in the prime coloring position needed for little boys when coloring with the big boys….

Soon Schmoo and Fuzz were back and the ham was ready for dinner.
HAM is one of Jameson’s favorite foods, so that was extra special for him!

Why is it that food always tastes SO much better when cooked outdoors??
We had ham, taters, onions, cucumber salad, but we forgot all about baking the dinner rolls!
Oh well, next time...

Check out these cool sets of plastic eating utensils for kids-- they are made by Dixie and each one incorporates some kind of animal into the shape of the utensil.  I bought a couple boxes so have enough for all the grandkids to use over the next few years... we will wash them and reuse them as they are very sturdy.

After dinner was done, I walked with Jameson up to sites 10 and 8.  We carried up this little red camping chair and the camera.   See---   Many years ago they were a combined “family site” where used to camp with our kids.  You paid a few dollars more for a family site, but you could put 2 units on each spur.  We could put on four campers on the 2 sites and have close grouping to centrally cook and visit.  Since then, the powers that be decided to split them both up and make them regular sites.  When Heather and Erin were about 3 and 5, I have video clips of them playing in this site with their cousin Christopher, all with their little red camping chairs.  We ordered them from Heintz baby food after saving labels for months on end.  I talked about them in this post:

Now, 20 some odd years later, here we are, in the same site, with the same little chair of his momma’s.
Talk about “History Repeating Itself”

We took one more walk around the campground, and found some wild flowers by the side of the road... Jameson had to sniff this one, and we snapped the pic.  His momma LOVED the photo when I emailed to her, so she had me do a few creative alterations on it for her to use it as a profile pic on Facebook.

All too soon, it was time to start packing up... Jameson *helped* his granfaddah stow away the gear
in all the compartments and roll up the awnings.  He was a very very busy boy!

Once we hit the road and headed south, he was zonked out.
He could not keep those eyelids open anymore,
no matter how the interesting scenes passed by the windshield.

And so goes another weekend of camping, combined with having a grandchild along.

My oh my, life is wonderful with RV's and Grandchildren!
