In Memory of our son, Mike on this day

We feel today we should do a post separately about our son, Mike,
who would have been 27 years old today.

He died unexpectedly one afternoon, of unknown causes, and we all miss him terribly.

A tree was planted in his honor by his grandparents, Paul and Maryanne Pfundtner.
His uncles and our family contributed to a brass plaque in memorial honor of Mike.
It is placed near the 1st base at the ball diamond at his high school in Luxemberg, WI

Here are a few family shots through the years....

Dan and Mike were very close in age and the best of buddies

And, yes, they loved each other

Being a sports nut, all his life, he rose to great heights

Steve, Dan and Michael joined up with Karen, Erin and Heather to be a family in 1997
The boys were both Steve's "Best Men"

And he tried his best to be serious, but always ready to burst out in laughter

He was one cool dude in school

And he still believed in Santa after all these years....  (rubbing his eyes in wonder?)

The boys and their dad played many, many games of cribbage

And our Xmas eve card playing till the wee hours in the morning was a family tradition

We love you.
We miss you, Mike

  18. I just want to add to the many thoughts expressed. Thank you for allowing us to share in your memories of Michael. Losing him must have devastated your world, but you continue to smile and share your light (and Michael's) with others. That's a very special trait. Thanks, Karen.
