My stupendous wonderful smart intelligent mechanical sweet marvelous husband took one look at those shocks, and said:
" Oh gee, they are just gas filled instead of hydraulic, and just are not compressed yet!"
He got out his tools, put them on, and they WORK!!!!
We just got back from a test drive, and it's smooth as velvet, of course, but no more rattling sound under my feet and it glided along like a swan on a smooth glass lake!
(the dogs got to go along too, or else they never forgive us for leaving the yard with their motorhome!)
Now to go start loading up for a weekend of camping!!!
and yes... I gave him a huge KISS!

Well now, that is truly some awesome 'shocking' news. Have yourselves a good week-end:))
ReplyDeleteWhat happy news! Enjoy....
ReplyDeleteDon't you just like when a story has a happy ending, I was wondering when you said they were twice as long, My Bilsteins came in a compressed state with a piece of wire holding them down, they were gas filled also, when you put them on your had to have the control arms extended, snip the wire, quick put a bolt through the bottom and then as the shock extended quick put the top bolt through. You had to be fast or the top would go by the top hole and jam against the top and then you had to wedge a big screwdrive in and pry it down, ask me how I know that.Glad to see you will be on your way to a fun weekend, you guys deserve it. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna...
ReplyDeleteSteve is an amazing guy! Nothing is too hard for him to fix.
